BackgroundGIZ has been working in Kenya on behalf of the GermanFederal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) since 1975 and
up to now implements programs in a wide variety of areas, including economicdevelopment, green energy, governance, food security, and peace and security.The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) isour main commissioning party, but we also work closely with the private sector,
fostering successful interaction between development policy and foreign trade.In the framework of the German Development Cooperation (GDC), GIZ cooperatesclosely with the German Development Bank, Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, KfW,and other agencies.
GIZ supports capacity development for individuals, organisationsand institutions, to enable the people to improve their lives through their own
efforts. We have developed guidelines for pro poor development and carry outour projects in close cooperation with civil society on the basis ofintergovernmental negotiations.A.

ResponsibilitiesThe Junior Accounting Specialistis responsible for:

TasksThe Junior Accounting Specialistwill perform the following tasks:
Responsible for Cash Officeoperations:
Event Facilitation
Additional Tasks
Ensure regular timely follow up of project receivablesand payables and documents this process.
Ensure all financial reposting are done in time, signed,submitted to the respective units and properly filled.
Liaise with external auditors, partner and projects oncommercial suitability check
Follow-up with country office procurement team ondrafting of local subsidy and financing agreement contracts
Follow-up and support partners on accountability/list ofexpenditures and ensure they’re booked to cost timely
Any other duties as assigned from time to time by thesupervisor
